I just love Cointreau - especially when it's cold outside.  It makes an awesome margarita, too, you know, when it's not so cold out.

Lysol filtered through a loaf of white bread. Ah, all alcohol, with none of the pesty toxic chemicals, and cheap too.

I'm browsing the FMU cookbook right now, having yesterday made for the second time D.J. Trouble's very good carrot cake (which is really Nigella Lawson's), and just read Small Change's margarita recipe, which features Cointreau.

Isn't that an amazing coincidence?

More on topic:  Later today I plan to sample a weird concoction an acquaintance made of Young's Old Sam rum in which some kind of unknown (to me) fruit has been steeping for several months.

It may kill me.  I'll let you know.

Apple Slice was my favorite.  Now Jones Green Apple Soda is.  And apple cider.

Don't surprise me about Small Change. The guy seems like he knows how to party.

And, mystery fruit = dorian?

That's my cousin's name.  I think you mean "durian," you dodo chicken.

I've had a little bit of the drink, and I can't figure out what the fruit is.  Possibly some strange plums from a tree the guy has in his yard.  Very fruity and slightly sour.  Not so wonderful.  Maybe I'll put the rest of it in the next batch of carrot cake.

Wow, no one here drinks Lysol.  This makes me sad.

I just love Citrasolv - especially when it's cold outside.  It makes an awesome margarita, too, you know, when it's not so cold out.
