Whoops. Sharley was arrested again in 2016: https://bangordailynews.com/2016/10/18/news/two-charged-with-trafficking-in-down-east-drug-bust/

And in 2009 he was in trouble for dealing in jail.

His life has been a rich tapestry.

The brining shed has washed ashore on Campobello. Here is a picture:

I can see no picture.

I recommend the McCurdy's Smokehouse video, if only to see what hard work was entailed in smoking herring. As a bonus, you can see lots more of Sharley on the job. No wonder he became a drug dealer.

I had to download it and then upload it to Photobucket. Quel pain!

Here's a link to short video of it in its new location: https://www.facebook.com/moira.brown.589/videos/10156120683587112/. It looks (and sounds) cold. Must've been filmed a day or so ago. It was toasty today. In the thirties, no less.

In this video--https: //www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFFEMe18z04--you can see my house as it was thirtyish years ago (twenty-odd years before I bought it) starting from 13:30. I had to have the sun porch torn down ages ago, and where all the pretty flowers were there's now a single forsythia bush marking my dog Bandit's grave.

The death of the brining shed has got me all soppy,  damn it all.

Fuck that shack.

Out with the old, in with the condos.

Could've sworn I just posted this, but apparently not: there is supposed to be a story about the brining shed on the CBS News tonight. Be sure to tune in at 6:30!

Best--and probably (with any luck) last--article about the shed: http://www.cbc.ca/beta/news/canada/new-brunswick/a-tale-of-a-shed-a-spat-and-a-social-media-snafu-1.4495400

Now, the idea is to salvage the long, heavy old boards — the kind you can't buy anywhere anymore
